The stages of Polio would start as an acute Polio illness, then possible progression to a mild case, and luckily it rarely reaches the stage of paralytic Polio.
Minor Symptoms of Polio are included below:
Fever
Sore throat
Nausea
Vomiting
Abdominal pain
Constipation
Flu-like symptoms
Although these could all be symptoms of the common flu or cold, you should always keep out watch for them.
The Major Symptoms of Polio are included below:

Loss of reflexes
Other "minor illness" symptoms
The symptoms above, along with the minor symptoms, could be possible symptoms of Polio. If these symptoms ever develop, a doctor appointment should be made immediately.
